WORKSHOPS

Recreating Childhood Memories with Art and Color: Katie Montgomery Rentz

Do you remember the first time you climbed a tree, smelled a flower, or felt the sun warm your face? So often, our first memories in nature remind us of a time that felt simple, pure, and free. In this workshop, we will use art therapy to revisit and recreate those memories allowing your spirit to be reminded of who you were and who you still are.

Sound and Music Therapy: Linda Seagraves

Linda will be hosting a workshop centered around the sense of sound with music from the flute, drum, and lyre. This workshop invites you to merge with Nature's loving energy where body, mind, and spirit are at ease while engaging with the enchantment of the mountain, the magnificence of the river, and the contentment of your own pure spirit.

Mindful Foraging and Medicinal Plants: Rachael Witt

“Let food be thy medicine” and let the forest provide the bounty! From the depths to the edges, the forest is filled with plant allies that nourish our bodies and feed our souls. Come connect with these plants as we walk through the forest with the eyes of a forager. Learn the ways of a wild tender, connect with the nutritious medicine of the land, and bring to the table a foraged forest feast.

Through smell and taste, we will expand our sensory awareness to learn about the wonders of wild edible and medicinal plants of the Pacific Northwest. In this way we will learn plant identification, sustainable harvesting techniques, seasonal tending, edibility, medicinal benefits, toxicity, and how to deepen our connection through intuition and know-how. We will gather plants to make fresh and wild tea as well as learn drying techniques and plant combinations to bring a forest tea blend home with you.

Deepen your connection with the plants of the PNW. Breathe in the aromas of place. Savor the flavors of the forest.
